I guess like most people I suffer from Mind -Full -Ness , my mind is always busy going over very important irrelevant details of , just about anything it wants . It runs around like a child on Christmas morning without a care to timing , relevancy or importance . Those pesky know-it -alls tell us that we need to get back inside our minds and just let this trash happen , but just observe it . I don’t know about you but my mind is not a place I care to spend a lot of time in , I try to avoid it , keeping busy , being generally disorganised and having background noise like a talk radio blasting in the background .

APPLE FITNESS APP

Anyway , I have this apple fitness thingy for my wife still and Ive often wondered , well often is a bit much , I have once wondered what this meditation thing is all about . I don’t want to run around a stage and think I’m a chicken or something or think spinach is my favourite food.. I eventually finished my sofa lying on research and meditated towards Jessica Skye ( see what I did there ? clever eh?)….. I chose a beginners session , she does one in 10 minutes , didn’t seem bad , how bad can something be in ten minutes ? ( please don’t ask my wife ). So as the house was mercifully empty of spouses and kids I pressed play . Bleep , Bleep we began , oh , so she starts by introducing the sleep meditation …..I wasn’t aware we would be sleeping but I went with it .

HERE WE GO

She asked us to set an intention , so I did , mine was to make macaroni cheese for tea , and then we began. Then she asked us to pause the meditation , settle down somewhere comfortable , take some deep breaths , feel calm and then press play again. Well I feel I did well getting this far, I don’t think we can achieve everything on the first attempt , I did get comfy , a little too comfy , my sofa is Soooo comfy , perhaps that’s meditation ,perhaps I did it anyway, it was a nice quick nap before the house filled up again ,. I have set a reminder app on my iPad for Meditation and Yoga , reoccurring each day and I am pretty sure that I can make my first tick against meditation. Perhaps tomorrow , I’ll have a go at staying the whole 10 minutes , the app says I managed 90 seconds ….not bad , not bad.
